April 2009

The Cake Show is an art exhibition of beautiful and unique confections created by the students & alumni of the Bonnie Gordon School.  We are surrounded by images of gorgeous edible art in the popular media; and what wedding is complete without a sweet tower of edible perfection?!

Tempt your taste buds in a scrumptious cake tasting contest showcasing the best in wedding cake flavours. Watch cake decorating demonstrations and learn how we create these incredible edible art forms. Walk though our wedding-themed “Cake Design Exhibition & Competition” and be amazed by the design possibilities. Have a seat as four of our talented local designers & culinary artists challenge one another in their pursuit of the perfect confection in our “Wedding Cake Design Challenge”;featuring HGTV design guru Ambrose Price; The Stop executive chef and culinary artist Joshna Maharaj; and brilliant cake designers Roxanne Wickware of Roxycakes and Tina Cadeau of Cakes by Konstadin.

Proceeds of The Cake Show will be donated to The Stop Community Food Centre -
striving to increase access to healthy food in a manner that maintains dignity, builds community and challenges inequality.
